King of the Cage and Lake of the Torches Resort Casino Announce “Brimstone” Fight Card for Upcoming Event to be held in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 21st, 2008.
Lac du Flambeau, Wis. – After a phenomenal event on July 21st, 2007 Lake of the Torches Resort Casino will once again play host to mixed martial arts global powerhouse King of the Cage on Saturday, October 6th, in the Lac du Flambeau Amphitheater – also known as the “Indian Bowl.”
The 10 No Holds Barred cage fighting event will consist of four main events featuring Wisconsin native and MMA Superstar Mike Sixel, Kyle Kingsbury, Billy the Kid and Matt Jaggerz.
Wisconsin native, Mike Sixel returns after an impressive defeat over MMA artist Ricky Gonzales with a perfectly execute submission by Rear Naked Choke in just 2:16 1st round. Young Sixel’s entourage consists of notable MMA stars Dan Henderson and Matt Lindland from Team Quest Center in Gresham, Oregon. Mike’s father Dave Sixel, who recently returned from escorting Team USA into Russia, will again be cage side to corner his son.
Heavyweight Kyle Kingsbury returns after one of the most epic stand up bouts seen in MMA history. G.M. Michael Broderick of Lakes of the Torches Casino said, “[It was] phenomenal to see to Heavyweights stand and trade punches and kicks for ten minutes without going down.” Kingsbury beat Demian Decorah by Unanimous Decision in the bout. Kingsbury, who is a
Muay Thai expert based out of Sunny Vale, California comes Wisconsin to defend his professional record of 7-0, with two knockout wins occurring in less than 30 seconds.
In the last of three main events enter “Billy the Kid” steps in the cage with some of the heaviest hands and one of the hardest chins on the block. Kid who is touted to be one of the best up and coming fighters welcomes any man willing stand and trade punches.
