Episode 7 Jared Rollins vs George Sotiropoulos 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Matt Hughes lets his frustration fly with the start of this episode. Hughes actually stated that he wanted to be off the show due to the lack of focus by his team and took his frustrations out on Dan Barrera. Will these fights effect the recruiting potential of Hughes' new H.I.T team, only time will tell. Mac Danzig, the philospher, was actually making a lot of sense. Most of these fighters are junior and Barrera definately fought his ass off, while he might not have followed the game plan, not many have.

So with the next pick going to Serra, Serra picked Jared Rollins vs George Sotiropoulos. I have to admit Rollins reminds me of Clubber Lang, OK bad refence but you decide. With the ante raised by the previous loses Hughes sets up a furious training plan. Rollins is the third victim of the training with Hughes, how many fighters will be injured right before the fight with over training. If all the fighters come to their fight with a handful of injuries pre-fight, they can't fight to thier full potential. So with 3 fighters injured the training does appear not to be in the best interest of the fighters.

The first and only round started with a minute of feeling each other out before any real action took place. Sotiropoulos landed a few heavy blows to pick the pace up and Rollins had little to answer these strikes. Rollins evently landed a heavy leg that buckles Sotiropoulos but doesn't follow up with anything and the round continues. SS continues to set the pace with a series of single strikes. Sotiropoulos takes Rollins down monmentarily and the fight goes bac to its feet. With roughtly 1:20 left in the first round Sotiropoulos lands one on the button and drops Rollins. Sotiropoulos pounces and continues to strike until the referee pulls him off. This leaves the total 6-1 for Team Serra. Rollins says it best "Tough times don't last, tough people do".
